Mid-Year Book Freak Out Tag

Tag Time! Thank you to Dreamy Addictions for the tag! I keep seeing it and have been putting it off, and now that I am officially tagged I guess I shouldn’t do that anymore.

                                                                                                                                                                     

1. Best book you’ve read so for in 2015. 

This was truly a fantastic book. Read it. This is going to be the next Harry Potter for me. It’s been 2 weeks since I finished this and I just can’t stop thinking about it. And it’s probably going to be the only other book on my shelf I will re-read besides Harry Potter.

2. Best sequel you’ve read so far in 2015. 

Is this cheating? No. I seriously cannot get over this series and I wish the author had any social media accounts so I can tell her how much I loved it.

3. New release you haven’t red yet, but want to. 

…honestly I don’t know what’s a new release. I guess I am going to have to look it up real quick.

  

I think 3 is good. Luckily I have all of these on my shelf right now!

4. Most anticipated release for the second half of the year. 

I’m still reading Scarlet, but I know I will love this too so I seriously can’t wait!

5. Biggest disappointment

This book. It takes place in the same town of the Salem witch trials. The author is a descendent of 3 women accused of witchcraft, two who lived. Things start happening at the school like that were happening during the Salem Witch Trials. SO. NATURALLY. I figured it would be about some witchy stuff. It wasn’t. It took me 2, yes 2, months to finish this book. I regret buying. I am furious at this book. Don’t lead me into thinking it’s about witches AND IT BE ABOUT DEPRESSION AND STRESS. No.

6. Biggest surprise

I thought I wouldn’t like this book and it was actually really good!

7. Favorite new author (debut or new to you).

Brittany Touris
And Erika Johansen, but she doesn’t have a picture I can find.

Really enjoyed all of their books and can’t wait for more.

8. Newest Fictional Crush

Is it bad I can’t answer this because I don’t feel attracted to book characters anymore.

9. Newest Favorite Character

Uuuuuuum. I’m really enjoying Scarlet Benoit from Scarlet by Marissa Meyer right now.

10. Book that made you cry

Books haven’t made me cry in a long time. And I honestly can’t think of a single book that has right now. I am sorry.

11. Book that made you happy

I’m going to go with the The Queen of the Tearling trilogy. Both of those books made me happy. But not really because of stuff going on it it. They were just amazing books!

12. Favorite book to film adaptation you saw this year. 

I have not read the book If I Stay, but I did see the movie. And I loved it. And I bawled my eyes out the entire time. It was SO GOOD.

13. Favorite review you’ve written this year. 

I was really thrilled with my Invasion of the Tearling Review.

14. Most beautiful book you’ve bought so far this year (or received)

I think all my books are beautiful. Red Queen is gorgeous. Invasion of the Tearling. Scarlet and Cress. The new paperbacks of Harry Potter with the castle on the spines. Snow Like Ashes. The Nightingale. The Bone Season. I buy books partly because of how they look.

15. What books do you need to read by the end of this year?

Preferably everything on my shelf that’s not read. My husband says I have to read the entire Game of Thrones series before the next season or I have to get rid of them. I’ve had them for 4 years.
