I am stuck.

I couldn’t finish A Game of Thrones. I tried..for over a month. I got over 500 pages in and just gave up. This, I am ok with. What I am not ok with is that because of this, I am stuck and don’t know what to read next. I did read Salt of the Sea by Ruta Sepetys, review coming soon, and it was just fantastic. I finished it in two days. Since it is historical fiction, I thought that some more historical fiction might help, so I started reading All The Light We Cannot See. And I’m about 30 pages in….and have been for at least 4 days.

I want to read, I do. I just don’t know what to read. I hate starting a million books to find one that I can actually read because I feel like I never get back to those ones I had started.

I think I am just going to just power through All The Light We Cannot See and hope that whatever this is gets better.

  1. I’d suggest picking up something that you know will be a quick, light read–maybe something you’ve read and enjoyed before. Good luck!

  2. I know exactly how you feel… I’ve been in the same type of reading slump for months now. Every so often I find something that I really like and I’ll fly through it, and then I get stuck all over again. Right now I’m desperately trying to read an ARC I promised to review, but it’s just not catching my interest. I’m hoping that trying a different genre will help, because I’m getting desperate here.
